Local culture and costume

All tourists are very welcome in the Maldives. You will have the opportunity to discover the wonderful friendly hospitality that is typical of the Maldivians. However, to fully enjoy your experience it is important to understand the culture and customs when you interact with the local population.
As Maldives is a Muslim country and BAANI Lodge is located on a local fishermen island, we would like to point out some customs and traditions.
