BEFORE YOU START YOUR VISIT TO THE REEF<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Listen carefully to the instructions given by your guide.<\/li>
  • Never go too near to the coral reef.<\/li>
  • Ensure that your apparel and gear are appropriate and in good condition.<\/li>
  • If you don\u2019t feel reassured, if you are not a good swimmer, please consider wearing a snorkeling life jacket.<\/li>
  • Before your excursion, gather information on the reef: it is a fascinating environment but equally fragile and dangerous.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n


    IN THE WATER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • NEVER touch the coral because even a light contact can damage it. The coral can easily hurt and cut your skin. DO NOT touch or go near the fish and any sea life.<\/li>
    • Choose carefully your entrance and exit point from the reef so to avoid walking on the corals. There are always open passages in the reef.<\/li>
    • NEVER go to near the reef.<\/li>
    • Be careful when you walk not to move the sand with your fins.<\/li>
    • You must remain horizontal in the water when you are near the coral reef.<\/li>
    • Try to swim without using your arms but only with your legs and with gentle movements.<\/li>
    • Never take anything from the sea.<\/li>
    • Try to move as slowly as possible, relax and take your time.<\/li>
    • Do not use gloves.<\/li>
    • The rule is: LOOK but DO NOT TOUCH<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The good snorkelers know that the best way to enjoy snorkeling is to relax and observe the reef life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


      PLEASE LIMIT ANY CONTACT with sea life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Do not chase or disturb the animals and fish. Do not try to touch anything.<\/li>
      • Some fish are dangerous and the corals are very sharp and pointed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n


        ON THE BOAT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Please ensure that all garbage is not left behind and stored safely, in particular all lightweight plastic items.<\/li>
        • Please make sure you do not leave any personal belonging on the boat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n


          ON THE ISLAND<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • If you can and wish, please support the projects to help preserving the coral reef.<\/li>
          • Participate or help us support local initiatives to monitor the sea life and environment.<\/li>
          • Help with keeping a clean place.<\/li>
          • Please refrain from buying any souvenir made of coral, turtles or other sea life. IT IS ILLEGAL and FORBIDDEN.<\/li>
          • Ensure that all your group of family and friends understand and embrace these important instructions and rules.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            The coral reefs are amongst the most spectacular eco-systems in the world and snorkeling is an excellent way to explore them. Since the reefs are facing an increasingly uncertain future, we believe that all visitors and snorkelers can play an important role to protect these fragile habitats.
            Please follow carefully these simple guidelines and behave as a \u201ccoral-friendly\u201d snorkeler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
